Tomah Fair

needs different picture!!!!

Brightenridge regularly attends local fairs to promote the Shire horse. Shires in this area are not common. We feel a good way to get the word out on these versatile draft horses is to attend as many draft horse shows as possible. The Tomah Draft Horse Show, which is part of the Monroe County Fair, is a good representation of draft horse shows in our area. As many as 190 horses have been registered for this event, with many fine examples of all the major breeds. Shires are also well represented, with 15 horses from four exhibitors this past year. Brightenridge attends other shows in the area (generally county fairs) as time and schedules allow. We try to do three to four shows a year.
